This is the entrance to one of my favorite cafes in my neighborhood.
They have good espresso and the place's atmosphere always keeps me on productive tracks.
However, every visit it takes me a couple of trials to open the door. There is no clear indication whether it opens into the cafe or out to the street and whether I should grab the long handle on the right or on the left side.
I have quite a bad memory, so every visit it's guessing again, and with my luck I usually get it only on the last attempt.
If this door was a website homepage, I would probably leave the site pretty fast, very frustrated, and not come back.
I'm a designer who is passionate about creating clear and intuitive interfaces, about solving problems and letting doors open on the first trial.
